What is Combi?
In short, Combi makes packaging equipment. Some of their product lines include case erectors, palletizers, case sealers, and even shrink-wrapping machines. If you're in North America, in a factory with any type of packaging that needs to be put together, there's a high chance you'll have at least one of their machines in your facility.
Why do I like them?
This company also offers training on their equipment. I was lucky enough to experience it. One of their technicians came to the factory I was working in to give each shift an overview, an explanation of common operational adjustments, and some tips and tricks to keep the machine functioning properly. I was impressed that the company and the tech followed our schedule.
Most companies will only offer training in the morning or briefly in the afternoon. For overnight workers that means either missing out on the training altogether or having to give up on sleep. They were different. They came in for each of our shifts, allowing us to not have to adjust. This little detail is hugely beneficial.
Even before their training, I've had the pleasure of working on some of their case sealers and erectors. I personally like how easily accessible parts of the machine were when there were issues as they arose. Their manuals on the equipment were pretty well organized and helped me to adjust to all the functions that were inside of the HMI.
